February Wrap Up

Oh man this month really took it out of me. I can’t believe next month is March, one year since the start of the famous quarantine. It is just so insane to me. But in this post I will be wrapping up my life, writing, blogging, and goals for the month!

Life

Life was super busy this month. I started to go back to school in person twice a week which has been interesting. Anyway, I’ve been very stressed lately but I’m looking forward to my schedule opening up next month!

Reading

Reading this month was…. not so great for me.

1. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

My rating: 4/5 stars

If you missed it, I read all three Grisha trilogy books in one weekend and vlogged the whole thing. You can watch it here. But I really enjoyed this book! I know I said I was probably never going to read these books, but I am so glad I decided to. I read them mostly to watch the show and HAVE YOU GUYS SEEN THE TRAILER?!??!! ITS GORGEOUS. Anyway, I loved this world and this story! I also really loved Alina, our main character, and Genya, my fave. I also really liked Zoya, although she was pretty mean to Alina.

2. Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

My rating: 4.5/5 stars

This one was by far my favorite of the series! I loved Nikolai (of course) and I had so much fun reading the pirate-y beginning. Let me tell you, Grisha pirates fulfilled my wildest dreams in ways I never knew I needed. This one defied the usual second book slump that is usually in series and especially in trilogies, at least for me. Although there was a lot of planning and preparing for the final battle, there was also a good deal of action that made up for it. Anyway, I really liked this one!

3. Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

My rating: 3/5 stars

This one was…. my least favorite of the trilogy. While the final battle was very action filled and satisfying, the main plot of the book took the main characters on a wild goose chase that led no where, for no reason. Also there was a significant lack of Nikolai which definitely impacted my rating. Also the ending was possibly the worst of any series I have ever read. So many tropes that I hate happened in the ending and just ruined my enjoyment of it. For a series I really loved, the ending almost ruined it for me.

4. Legend of Korra graphic novels

I also read all six of the Legend of Korra graphic novels. I read these mainly for the Korrasami content and I was not disappointed. They are soooo cute!!!

Writing

I wrote only one chapter of Black Emerald this month. Oops. But I did write a few chapter of Auraline’s Selection, although not a lot. You can follow me on Wattpad and read both my stories here.

Blog

I did not quite meet my blogging goal this month but I did write and post a few posts! I also was more active on my reader and I read a bunch of my fellow bloggers posts which was awesome and motivating. Here’s what I posted this month:
